Nice place to do laundry. Not very many suspisous people! I felt safe as a women alone. The vending machine did not take card though which was disappointing. The washers were about 12 dollars and the dryer 5. I had to dry my clothes twice. It was a little expensive but its better than other places I have been. Each took about 30 minutes.

Whoever works the front desk older big lady with glasses and no teeth is nasty and rude for no reason. Waited outside for 5 minutes for a parking spot to open nothing open so in the meantime I pulled up in front of the door so that I can unload my things she immediately jumped up and came to the door and told me I couldn't park there I said I understand that I'm just unloading my things because I am waiting for a spot to open and I've been waiting she said well if you park there I'm going to tow you and I said I just told you that I have been waiting for a spot to open and no spots have opened up she said well I'm just telling you because it's a fire lane and you can't park there and I will tow you. I told her you don't have to threaten to tow my car I just told you three times that I'm waiting on a spot and I'm just unloading my stuff....she said that I didn't need to be rude I said I'm not being rude you're the one threatening to tow my car when I told you that I'm waiting on the spot and you can clearly see that the whole parking lot is completely full so I took my stuff and left. Had a full size bed spread and a couple small rugs. The lady told me that I could not wash those there that it was not good for there machines. The only reason I took them there to start with was my washer has a dasher and the rugs said not to wash with a dasher. Im sure there machines could have handled those small rugs. They should have a sign up and that information on there website saying they can't take those items.

While visiting Charlottesville, I noticed that most laundromats required purchasing a card with a $10 minimum. I only had a very small load of clothes that needed drying, and I didn’t want to spend $11–$12 on something that would normally cost around 75 cents, especially since I was only in town once. When I came to Hydraulic Wash Laundromat, Kelvin was incredibly kind and understanding. After I explained my situation, he generously gave me a free 25-minute dry. The laundromat is clean, well-maintained, and the staff is courteous and welcoming. I truly appreciate the kindness shown to me—thank you, Kelvin, and thank you to everyone who works here. If I’m ever back in Charlottesville, this will absolutely be my go-to laundromat.

Cleanest laundromat I’ve ever been to! Had to come here because of an issue with our washer at home, and I was so pleased to see they had HUGE washer capacity for the mountain of laundry we had to do. Loved that the place and bathroom was super clean, that I didn’t have to deal with coins, and that there was a taco truck outside with delicious food! Great experience!!
